Brand x Anime & Manga Collabs!

♦ Hello!

Months ago I created seven lolita coordinates inspired by the Rozen Maiden anime. Some time later I learned that Innocent World released a whole collection based on that anime, and I felt the need to do a follow-up post.

This is my list of all (or at least I hope so!) Lolita Brand x Anime collaborations to this date. I used the brand's selected images when possible, and on the others I worked my hardest to find images that look similar to the final design. Enjoy!

♦ Olá!

Meses atrás eu criei sete coords lolita inspirados no anime Rozen Maiden. Algum tempo depois eu fiquei sabendo que a marca Innocent World lançou uma coleção inteira baseada nesse anime, e senti que precisava fazer um post complementando o anterior. 

Essa é a minha lista de todas (ou assim espero!) as colaborações Brand Lolita x Anime até hoje. Eu usei as imagens selecionadas pelas marcas quando possível, e para as outras fiz o que pude para encontrar imagens que lembrassem o design final. Divirtam-se!

♦ BLOOD-C

An action and supernatural anime. It surprises me that the only CLAMP-related anime to collab with a Lolita brand is this one, which has no lolita characters as far as I can tell. This collab was done along with the release of the movie, Blood-C: The Last Dark.

Um anime de ação e sobrenatural. É surpreendente que o único anime relacionado a CLAMP que colaborou com uma marca Lolita foi esse, que não tem nenhuma personagem que usa a moda. O collab foi feito junto com o lançamento do filme, Blood-C: The Last Dark.

♦ Danganronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei - The Animation

Dangan Ronpa: Academy of Hope and High School of Despair - The Animation is a mystery story. The outfit AatP put out is almost an exact reproduction of the oufit character Celestia Ludenberg wears.

♦ Dantalian no Shoka

The Mystic Archives of Dantalian is a supernatural anime in a historical setting. The cute character Dalian wears this long black and red dress. The collaboration was released along with the anime itself.

Os Arquivos Místicos de Dantalian é um anime sobrenatural num ambiente histórico. A fofa personagem Dalian usa esse vestido longo preto e vermelho. A colaboração foi lançado junto com o anime.

♦ Dokuhime

I've talked about this fantasy-horror-romance manga here before. The mangaka, Mihara Mitsukazu, writes for Gothic & Lolita Bible frequently and the main female characters wear lolita all the time. I believe these particular items were created specially for the collab.

Eu falei desse mangá fantasia-terror-romance aqui antes. A mangaká, Mihara Mitsukazu, escreve para a Gothic & Lolita bible com frequência e as personagens principais usam lolita o tempo todo. Acredito que esses designs específicos tenham sido criados especialmente para o collab.

♦ Gosick

A mystery, drama and romance anime. Victorique de Blois, the main character, is also the one who wears most Lolita-like clothing. The collaboration was released along with the anime itself.

Um anime de mistério, drama e romance. Victorique de Blois, a personagem principal, é também uma das que mais usa roupas que lembram Lolita. A colaboração foi lançada junto com o anime.

♦ Kuragehime

Jellyfish Princess is one of my favorite manga. The anime doesn't exactly follow the original story, but the collab was released along with it. It's a comedy and romance story. No lolitas here, but lots of fashionable people (and lots of badly dressed people, too!).

Jellyfish Princess é um dos meus mangás preferidos. O anime não segue exatamente a história original, mas a colaboração seguiu a data do anime. É uma comédia e romance. Não tem lolitas, mas muitas pessoas estilosas (e muitas pessoas que se vestem super mal, também!)

♦ Kuroshitsuji

Black Butler is a dark supernatural story with plenty on comedy set in the Victorian Era. Expect boys and girls in cute historical-ish clothing and, well, butlers in black. Atelier Boz and BPN released along with the original anime, while AatP's release went along with Kuroshitsuji II.

Black Butler é uma história sombria de sobrenatural com comédia que se passa na Era Vitoriana. Você vai ver garotos e garotas em roupas "históricas" gracinha e, bem, mordomos de preto. Atelier Boz e BPN lançaram junto com o anime original, enquanto AatP colaborou com o segundo anime (Kuroshitsuji II).

♦ Macross Frontier

A romance and idol story... in space! Also no lolita characters, but plenty cute stage costumes to look at. Most of the releases were based on the movie Macross Frontier: Wings of Goodbye and exhibited at Marui One in Shinjuku at the "Oshare Macross" event. The AP one I believe is to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original Macross series.

Uma história de amor e música... no espaço! Também não tem nenhuma personagem lolita, mas várias roupas de palco pra olhar. A maioria dos lançamentos de marcas seguiu o filme Macross Frontier: Wings of Goodbye e foram exibidos na Marui One de Shinjuku, no evento "Oshare Macross". Acredito que o da AP tenha sido pra comemorar os 30 anos da série Macross original.

♦ Magical Angel Creamy Mami

This 80's Magical Girl anime doesn't feature any lolitas, but of course there are cute magical costumes and gadgets. All of the collaborations were to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series.

Esse anime Magical Girl dos anos 80 não tem nenhuma lolita, mas é claro que tem roupas e adereços mágicos bonitinhos. Todas as colaborações foram feitas para celebrar o 30º aniversário da série.

♦ Mawaru Penguindrum

A mystery, comedy and drama anime. Character Takakura Himari wears almost spot-on lolita most of the time, the collab is a near reproduction of that outfit.

Um anime de mistério, comédia e drama. A personagem Takakura Himari usa uma roupa quase perfeitamente lolita a maior parte do tempo, a colaboração é praticamente uma reprodução desse look.

♦ Moyashimon 

Moyashimon - Tales of Agriculture is a comedy featuring talking microorganisms. One of the character does wear lolita-inspired outfits. The collaboration was made along with the second season of the anime, Moyashimon Returns.

♦ Rozen Maiden

I've talked about these battling antique dolls here before. This collab was released along with the anime Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen. All seven sets were displayed at a cafe in Akihabara, the "Rozen Maiden's Ocean House".

Já falei dessas bonecas antigas que lutam aqui antes. O collab foi lançado junto com o anime Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen. Todos os sete conjuntos foram exibidos em um café em Akihabara, o "Rozen Maiden's Ocean House".

♦ Shiki

This is a dark supernatural anime. There is at least one lolita in the cast, Kirishiki Sunako, but I believe most of these brand designs were created specially for the Laforet Harajuku Special Corner ~Shiki in Laforet~ event.

Esse é um anime sombrio e sobrenatural. Tem ao menos uma lolita entre os personagens, Kirishiki Sunako, mas acredito que a maior parte dos designs das marcas foi criada especialmente para o evento Laforet Harajuku Special Corner ~Shiki in Laforet~.

♦ Creating this list was hard and exhausting, but I'm quite pleased with the results and the new information I obtained. If you find any inaccurate data or any releases I have missed, please let me know! I would be more than happy to correct or include it.

What do you think of Brand x Anime & Manga collabs? I know some people don't like them because they can resemble cosplay sometimes. I think many brands were very fortunate in their creations, though, and some of those clothes became very popular.
